Use the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT)
The best, most simple way to configure Eduroam is to download and install the eduroam CAT (Configuration Assistant Tool) app on your Windows computer (note: requires administrative privileges on computer) or from the App Store on your Mac computer.
You can also install the eduroam CAT app from the Play Store (Android) or from the App store (iPhone) to easily configure Eduroam on your mobile device ( i.e. Android, iPhone, iPad, tablet, etc.).
- Go to the eduroam Configuration Assistant website at https://cat.eduroam.org/#
- Scroll down the page, and click on blue button Click here to download your eduroam installer
- Select Normandale Community College as your home institution.
- Click on Download your eduroam installer for your operating system, then open the downloaded file, and run the install of the Configruation Assistant Tool (CAT)
Note: We have attached the installer to this article in the "Attachment" section to the right. Feel free to download it from there as well. For both Windows and MAC OS.
- Enter your eduroam credentials:
- Employees & Students both enter: StarID@normandale.edu
- Then click on Install, and Finish.
- Go to your device's WiFi settings and select eduroam. Your device is connected to eduroam and will automatically connect at eduroam-participating institutions.
- If the device tells you that the password is invalid, it probably is. Re-enter and try again.
- Sometimes a device may prompt for authentication several times even though the password is correct. If this happens, keep trying.
- Once the device has connected, it usually connects automatically from then on.
Please NOTE: Be sure to Select Normandale Community College as your home institution and for both Employees and Students, for the eduroam credentials, enter StarID@normandale.edu

Manually Connect to Eduroam
- On your device, select eduroam from the list of available WiFi networks while on campus.
- You will be prompted to sign into the network. Enter your eduroam credentials.
Employees & Students enter: StarID@normandale.edu
- You may be prompted to accept a security certificate. If this happens, verify that the certificate is from ise.normandale.edu. If so, click OK to accept.
If your device asks for more information, use the following settings:

5. Go to your device's WiFi settings and select eduroam
- If the device tells you that the password is invalid, it probably is. Re-enter and try again.
