Zoom Desktop Client
The Zoom Desktop client allows you to access zoom
directly from the desktop
of your computer.
The client also
"connects"
you to your Zoom account if you access Zoom
through a link or a web browser.
You may still access Zoom through a
direct link or web browser
, but making sure your "desktop client" is
signed in to your Minn State account
will ensure the your Zoom meeting runs smoothly.
How to check to see if you're already signed in to the Desktop Client:
Find the icon on your desktop and click on it:
If it shows your account info, check to make sure you're signed in with a MinnState email address (ie - instead of a personal email, or another family member's email, etc.)
If you are prompted to sign in, click the "SSO" option:

Sometimes a computer's "Zoom client" gets disconnected, or if used by another person, it can disconnect from your Zoom account through Minn State.
