Using Pearson links in D2L?
The Pearson integration within D2L Brightspace has been upgraded from its previous version (known as LTI 1.1) to the new version (known as LTI 1.3.) Both versions are working within D2L as of now, however, only the LTI 1.3 version will work as of December 20, 2023.
At the end of 2023, the legacy 1.1 integration will be removed from D2L and instructors will need to update their Pearson links to 1.3 for their Spring 2024 courses and future courses by following the directions on the attached document.
The LTI 1.3 version can be found in the "Existing Activities" menu of a D2L module:
- Within the Content tool of your Brightspace course, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.
- Click Pearson.
- Click on the newly created topic.
- You may be prompted to link your accounts. Sign in to your existing Pearson account, or create an account if you don’t have one.
- Choose the product you’d like to use: MyLab | Mastering or Revel | eText | Live Response.
- Follow the prompts to choose or create a Pearson course. For more information on how to do so, please see Pearson’s instructions titled “Link accounts and pair course.”
- When your Pearson course has been created and paired successfully, continue with the steps below.
