Goals

Evaluate and deploy all vendor recommended updates through a standard process in order to:

  • Significantly improve the security and reliability of computer systems,
  • Provide a consistent, predictable update experience to end users,
  • Effectively manage possible risk introduced by changes,
  • Build consistency across systems in the College.

Managing Change through a Pilot Program

In order to effectively address concerns about the compatibility of updates with business-critical systems, the College will maintain a Pilot Program for testing changes. The pilot program will have an assigned coordinator. Support areas may ask for additional staff to be added to the pilot program for testing business applications.
