How to Connect to Remote Access servers Off-Campus

You can use Remote Desktop to connect to NCCAPPS or your office computer when using a Normandale-provided Windows computer.

If you are working remotely from a Normandale Windows computer and need resources on NCCAPPS or your office computer, please see the instructions below.

Connect to your NCCAPPS, CAP3TS, STUAPPSTS, your office computer and other resources from Off-Campus

Important! You will need to know the name of your Office computer. You can find the name by looking at the Desktop of your computer. All faculty computers start with FCT and all staff computers start with STF. Example: STFD17011729874.

1. Open the Remote Desktop Connection App, by clicking on Start and typing Remote Desktop Connection
2. Click on the Remote Desktop Connect app that pops up
   
    
3. In the Computer field, enter NCCAPPS or your office computer name (Example: STFD17011729874)
   
    
4. Click Connect. You will be prompted for your username and password. Please enter your StarID and password.
5. You will now be connected to NCCAPPS or your office computer.
