Your StarID is the identification number assigned to you when you first enter the Minnesota State system. This ID is the same at all Minnesota State institutions and ties your records together across the system ( JX3333GH for example). The Student Tech ID number is the local ID number assigned to you when you are admitted to the college. It is different from one institution to another (11223355 for example).
