What is New Student Orientation?
What is New Student Orientation?
New Student Orientation helps new students get familiar with Normandale’s campus, policies, programs, and resources. Orientation is mandatory for all new students and has two required parts. The sooner you complete orientation, the more class options will be available to you and the easier it will be to build a schedule that fits your needs.
Part 1: Online Orientation
-
After completing course placements in English and math, you’ll receive an email invitation (sent to the personal email you used on your application—be sure to check your spam folder).
-
Orientation Part 1 is an online course in our learning system (D2L) that contains important information about being a student at Normandale.
-
You can access it anytime once you receive the enrollment email.
Part 2: On-Campus or Virtual Session
-
At the end of Orientation Part 1, you’ll sign up for Orientation Part 2.
-
You’ll meet with an academic advisor to register for classes.
-
You’ll also be able to take a campus tour and connect with Student Services and other campus resources.
