College can be some of the most exciting and rewarding years of your life, but it can also bring challenges and stress. Normandale’s Counseling and Mental Health team is here to help you develop healthy ways to cope with personal concerns while pursuing your education.

Counseling and Mental Health Services at Normandale

  • Staffed by professional counselors and trained psychologists.

  • Free and confidential for currently enrolled students.

  • What to expect during your first appointment:

    • Discuss your background, personal challenges, and any mental health concerns.

    • Feel free to ask questions and be honest—our staff will guide the conversation.

    • Complete an Informed Consent for Counseling/Mental Health Services form prior to your first session.

    • Most students schedule 1–6 appointments per semester.

    • You may receive strategies to try, mental health resources, or referrals to other campus or community services.

Digital Mental Health Support with Mantra Health
Normandale partners with Mantra Health, a virtual mental health and wellness platform, to provide flexible, high-quality support through the Care Hub. Services include:

  • Self-Care – Short, self-guided wellness courses to help reduce stress, regulate emotions, and build resilience.

  • Emotional Wellness Coaching – Work with a coach over 8–12 weeks for goal-oriented strategies to improve self-management.

  • Peer-to-Peer Support with Togetherall – Join a confidential, judgment-free community of peers.

  • Therapy – One-on-one sessions with culturally-informed providers; students have access to 12 sessions per year.

  • ConnectNow – Immediate video support with a mental health professional, available 11am–11pm CT for urgent concerns.

  • 24/7 Crisis Support – Crisis staff are available by phone at any time. For emergencies that put yourself or others at risk, call 988.
