What is MnCAP?

The University of Minnesota - Twin Cities created a process with seven community and technical colleges within the Minnesota State System to offer the Minnesota Cooperative Admissions Program (MnCAP). When you enroll in the Minnesota Cooperative Admissions Program, you will be guaranteed transfer admission to one of the participating U of M majors when you meet certain conditions. 

What you need to know: 

• You will need to submit the MnCAP Admissions Guarantee Form to the Office of Admissions at the University of Minnesota. 

• Acceptance is based on the degree you are planning. Review the majors in the MnCAP program. You will be required to complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum along with other courses required for the degree at the University of Minnesota. 

• It is important to meet with your Academic Advisor at Normandale to go over the requirements and to register for classes each semester.
