To be considered a Minnesota resident and pay resident tuition and fees, an applicant must have established a residency in Minnesota for at least 1 calendar year prior to the date of application. Residency is defined as a person’s true, fixed and permanent living place, established for purposes beyond that of attending college.
Students who believe they should be considered a Minnesota resident for tuition purposes can submit a Petition for In-State Tuition Residency Petition.
As of today, Normandale does not charge a higher rate for in state vs. out of state tuition.
