What is SAP (Satisfacory Academic Progress)?

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy

Normandale requires all students to meet satisfactory academic progress standards to:

  • Attend classes

  • Remain eligible for financial aid

  • Be considered in good academic standing


Standards You Must Meet

  • Cumulative GPA: 2.0 or higher

  • Completion Rate: 66.66% or higher


What Happens if You Don’t Meet Standards

  • First semester not meeting standards: Placed on academic and financial aid warning

  • Second semester not meeting standards: Placed on academic and financial aid suspension


Impact of Suspension

  • Academic suspension: You cannot enroll in classes unless you successfully appeal

  • Financial aid suspension: You are not eligible for aid unless you successfully appeal
