Dropping or Withdrawing from a Course
Students have two options if they need to remove a course from their schedule: dropping or withdrawing.
Dropping a Course (Free Drop Period)

Available through the fifth day of the semester for full-semester classes, or through the end of the first business day following the first class meeting for classes starting after the first week.

The class is removed from your academic record.

No tuition or fees are assessed.
Withdrawing from a Course (After Free Drop Period)

Begins the sixth day of the semester, or the second business day following the first class meeting for classes starting after the first week.

Students are charged tuition/fees for withdrawn courses.

A grade of ‘W’ is assigned.
