Transferring Credits

From Normandale to Another College

• Each college or university decides how it will accept transfer credits.

• Some majors (such as Business, Science, or Education) may require specific prerequisite courses.

• To plan effectively:

  • Meet with a Normandale advisor.

  • Review the transfer college’s catalog.

  • Speak with a representative from the college you plan to transfer to.

Into Normandale from Another College

• Courses taken at an accredited institution generally transfer into Normandale.

• How those courses apply toward your degree will depend on:

  • The course itself

  • The institution where it was taken

• To have courses reviewed for transfer:

  • Request official transcripts from your previous institution(s).

  • Have them sent to Normandale’s Records and Registration Office.

• Once received, transferable credits will be added to your Normandale record and applied where possible toward your degree.
