The Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) helps students develop practical and theoretical skills that prepare them for entry-level jobs. These programs can be completed in two years of full-time attendance. AAS degrees available at Normandale include: Business - Marketing and Management, Computer Technology, Computers/Information Management, Dietetic Technology, Healthcare Systems Technology, Hospitality Management, and Vacuum and Thin Film Technology.
The Associate of Fine Arts degree (AFA) is a pre-professional degree intended for students interested in transferring to a BFA program or those with a strong interest in the chosen major. Careful planning in consultation with faculty and an advisor or counselor concerning course sequence, program admission and transfer institution requirements is essential.
