Earning Credit for Prior Learning & Experience

Normandale offers several ways to earn credit for learning outside the classroom:


Portfolio Assessment

  • If you have work experience, job training, volunteer service, or other learning that meets Normandale’s course outcomes, you can complete a self-paced course.

  • This course guides you through building a portfolio to demonstrate your learning.

Cooperative Education Program

  • Earn elective credit while exploring career options through an internship in a real-world setting.

  • Available in several academic areas.

Exam Credits
