Struggling in Class?
We understand that students face many challenges, both inside and outside the classroom. If you are struggling in a class, it’s important to take action early rather than stop attending.
Steps You Can Take
-
Talk to your instructor: Discuss your progress and ask what you can do to improve your grade. Communicating about any difficulties early can make a big difference.
-
Utilize campus resources: The Tutoring Center can provide academic support.
-
Meet with an Academic Advisor or Counselor: They can help you develop strategies to succeed in your courses.
-
Reach out to Student Services: If challenges outside the classroom—such as financial or personal issues—are impacting your ability to attend or focus, we can help connect you to campus resources. This may include the Basic Needs Office, which offers support such as free meals for students, or other services to help you stay on track.
Remember: You don’t have to navigate difficulties alone. Contact Student Services at (952) 358-8100 to explore resources and support available to you.
