What is transfer student orientation?

Body

Transfer students must complete orientation in order to register for courses. The sooner you complete orientation, the more class options will be available to you and the easier it will be to build a schedule that fits your needs.

After completing course placements in English and math, you will receive an email invitation to complete Orientation Part 1 online. This will go to the personal email address you used on your application, be sure to also check your spam folder. Orientation Part 1 is an online course containing important information about being a student at Normandale. At the end of Orientation Part 1, you will sign up for Orientation Part 2, where you will meet with an academic advisor via Zoom to register for classes.

Transfer students can participate in Orientation Part 2 in person if they prefer. On-campus orientation will also include a campus tour and opportunities to connect with Student Services and other campus resources.

If you have any questions regarding Orientation, please email orientation@normandale.edu
