What is cloud faxing and how do I use the service?

What is eGoldFax?

The highlight of this service is the ability to manage faxes through email which results in reduced paper waste, increased security (sensitive documents will not be left in common areas) and better tracking (did we really receive that application).

How will our department receive faxes?

Incoming faxes will arrive in electronic format in a shared email mailbox. The fax will come as a PDF email attachment in that mailbox. 

How do I send faxes with eGoldFax?

Sending faxes is as easy as sending email. Simply open a new email message in Outlook, type the fax number in the "TO:" field and append "@egoldfax.com" (e.g. 9523581234@egoldfax.com). A cover page will be generated automatically. The document that you wish to send can be attached to the email and sent. Any information in the body of the email will be sent as an additional page.

Will I receive a notification once the fax is sent?

Yes, you will receive an email notification letting you know if the fax succeeded or failed.

What data can I send/receive via eGoldFax?

eGoldFax is a secure, encrypted service. eGoldFax faxes are stored in email, which has certain security limitations. To learn more, please see our Classified Data Handling Guide.
