What is the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum?

The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) is the result of an effort on the part of Minnesota public colleges and universities to make the transfer of general education credits easier for students. The MnTC is accepted by some but not all of the private colleges and universities. Some four-year degrees have a large number of prerequisite classes and, therefore, require careful planning. The relationship between the Associate in Arts Degree and the MnTC is explained at AA/MnTC.

Students may track their progress towards meeting their Minnesota Transfer Curriculum goals by viewing their Degree Audit Reports (DARS). When logged in eServices, click Academic Records on the left navigation panel then click Degree Audit Report from the same area.

This can be a confusing process. Students are encouraged to contact an Advisor or a Counselor at 952-358-8261 to obtain help with any questions that might arise. Getting help early can save time and money.

If you have additional questions, please reach out the Advising, Counseling & Career Center via email or live chat.
