Managing Files in the SPSS Virtual Classroom

You can set up OneDrive to manage your SPSS files.

Open, Upload and Download Files

You will need to upload and download files to the virtual classroom in order to use and save them.

Note: File located in the Temporary Files folder will be lost when you end your session.

Upload Saved Files from Your Computer

  1. Click on the folder icon at the top of the window.

     
  2. You will see a list of folders. Click on Home Folder.
     
  3. You will see a list of the files you have uploaded. To use a file from your computer click, Upload Files. Select the file from your computer you want to upload. Click on the file name and click Open.

Open a File

  1. In the SPSS Application, click File > Open > Data
  2. Select the file you previously created or uploaded and click Open.

Download/Save a File to Your Computer

  1. Click on the folder icon at the top of the window.

     
  2. You will see a list of folders. Click on Home Folder.
     
  3. You will see a list of the files you have uploaded. Click on the small down arrow to the right of the file and select Download. The file will be saved to your default download location, usually My Downloads.

If you do not get a separate window pop up when you click on the SPSS icon, your pop-up blocker may be blocking the SPSS Virtual Classroom.
Adding your OneDrive to the SPSS Virtual Classroom is a one-time setup. Once OneDrive is added you will not need to add the OneDrive folder again on future sessions.
