Service Description

Online Learning Services support the Learning Management System (LMS) D2L Brightspace to deliver online courses. This includes managing and sharing course materials, such as videos, documents, and spreadsheets; and facilitating learning through collaboration.

D2L Brightspace is the platform used by Normandale for teaching and learning.

Roles and Responsibilities

User Responbilities:

  • User is reponsible for providing details related to the request including their contact information, device names and locations of computer(s), and the software title and version.

ITS Responsibilities:

  • ITS will communicate the status of the request to the user as needed.

How to Request

Click the Request Service button and complete the request form. 

Maintenance Window

These are reserved maintenance windows that may be used for D2L Brightspace software updates, or routine maintenance to the hardware and server software that support the D2L system. These reserved times will only be used if needed, and users will be notified in advance if the system will be offline and unavailable to users.  Monthly D2L Brightspace software updates typically do not require downtime.  See update schedule below for dates and software versions.
